Tomorrow.Mobility and the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona are where cities, infrastructure managers and mobility suppliers meet every year. This year we're presenting Powerbox there – an outdoor station that charges practically any e-bike or e-scooter battery from 24 to 48 V, with or without communication.
In Pavilion P2 Mobility Playground you can try the station live: with bikes, the cable set and management in Powerbox.cloud.
What you'll see on the stand
- Magnetic EnergyBus connector to the new IEC standard. The joint takes no mechanical strain and copes with rough handling and bad weather.
- 14 cable types for the most common e-bike systems in Europe, about 95% compatibility. The cable is detachable and charging starts when you plug it in.
- A new internal architecture built on industrial capacity chargers and power electronics.
- Powerbox.cloud: access control, monitoring and data for building and city managers.
The station in numbers
- Up to 8 bikes at once: 6 DC outputs for bikes and light electric vehicles 24–48 V (five at 4 A, one at 10 A) and 2 protected 230 V outlets for own chargers up to 15 A.
- Fast charging up to 420 W – up to 5× faster than a standard charger, for batteries with FSC technology: from 10 to 80% capacity in under 30 minutes.
- Under €400 per DC charging output.
- Helps meet the bicycle infrastructure requirements of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EU) 2024/1275.
